PROFILE 2025
BRIMS Heritage Resource Centre is a cultural preservation initiative dedicated to safeguarding Uganda’s rich history through the collection, conservation, and exhibition of vintage and antique collectibles. Located in Janda, Namugongo, Wakiso District, the centre focuses on audiovisual heritage, historical artifacts, and traditional tools, offering a unique glimpse into the country’s technological and cultural evolution.
Founded with a passion for heritage conservation, BRIMS serves as a hub for research, education, and community engagement. Through guided tours, exhibitions, and interactive programs, the centre promotes awareness and appreciation of Uganda’s historical legacy while inspiring future generations to value and protect their heritage.
BRIMS collaborate with museums, educational institutions, and heritage organizations to advance cultural preservation efforts. As a member of the Uganda Community Museums Association (UCOMA) and the International Council of Museums (ICOM), the centre actively contributes to global and local heritage conversations.
Beyond preservation, BRIMS plays a role in promoting tourism, research, and public education, making history accessible to all.
